    Description

My first prototype made by me on my coal forge trying to keep to a similar style of the 1830’s blacksmith Jesse Cleft. The blade and handle are aged to some degree, the blade very sharp and left with a natural forged finish with my touch mark stamp, the blade is 1095 American steel with a HRC of 55-60. Well hardened and tempered with a good feel in hand. The handle is of Apple wood with brass trim and butt along with brass panels if you wish to apply a name. I purposely made this knife to look aged, blacksmith made and not factory perfect. It’s a tough blade of historical replication. I might make one or two more depending on how this one sells. If your a history buff of the Alamo or Jim Bowie or just like the style then this knife might appeal to you. Comes with a simple drop in leather sheath that is doubled stitched.
