    Antique Buffalo Pottery Semi-Vitreous Flow Blue Old Willow 14.25" Rectangle Serving Platter, 1908.
    Buffalo Pottery, New York - marked 1908. Fair condition.
    Back has one small chip as shown in photo. There is some crazing.
    Provenance: Since the 1800's the blue willow pattern has been a favorite of landed gentry and royalty worldwide. The legend of the blue willow pattern speaks of two lovers who were forbidden to marry by the wishes of the brides father but pledged to seal their union the day the blossom fell from the willow tree.
