    Description
Offered is a tea or serving tray made by Buffalo Pottery in the Deldare Ware line. This tray depicts three ladies gathered around a parlor table examining one of the lady’s heirloom jewelry – hence the name of this pattern – “Heirlooms”. Around the border of the tray are six homes and the surrounding countryside. This piece is signed by the artist – “W. Foster”.
Buffalo Pottery has an interesting history as it had it’s beginning because a Buffalo, New York soap manufacturing company by the name of the Larkin Company began offering “premiums” with the soap it was selling. The “free” dishware premiums were so successful the company built its own pottery operation in 1903 – Buffalo Pottery - to cut out the middle man who had been supplying them.
One of the most collected Buffalo Pottery product lines was Deldare Ware which was art pottery produced from 1908 through 1911 and then again after World War I from 1923 until 1925. Deldare Ware features scenes of English village life centering around interactions at the hunt, in taverns or about town. Pieces were molded and applied with a transfer design before being hand painted with an underglaze of mineral colors on a khaki or green ground. Designs were produced on a variety of decorative items including plates, bowls, candlesticks and pitchers. Production of these pieces was extremely costly and labor-intensive, so the line was only manufactured for a limited period.
Almost all pieces were dated on the back and monogrammed or signed by the artist. The pieces ranged from small dishes to tea sets, trivets, pitchers, trays, bowls, and vases.
    Dimension/size
    – This tray measures about 13 ¾” by 10 3/8”. It stands a little less than an inch high. It weighs about two pounds 14 ounces.
    Condition
    – This tray is in good condition with no noticeable chips, cracks or repairs. It has a somewhat matte/satin finish – not a high gloss appearance as other pieces of Deldare ware. Please see photos.

    About Us
The Amazing Grace on eBay store was opened to assist us in selling the rather extensive estate of a friend's mother that we have "inherited". Sally collected a variety of things for many years and 95% of the over 1,200 treasures have been in storage for the last 20 years or more. From depression glass to Asian porcelain and carvings to Native American turquiose & silver jewelry, Sally was a very accomplished collector and even had numerous reference books that accompanied her collections.
We fully understand that in order to sell this vast estate we must offer excellent customer service and fair prices in order to earn repeat customers. Our goal is to make sure each and every customer has a positive buying experience and is completely satisfied. While not experts by any means, we will do our best to fully and accurately describe our offerings. We expend a great deal of effort in researching each piece to insure an accurate description and your satisfaction is our highest priority.
