Case XX 265 365 Ironwood Handle, Stainless Guard, Brass Pommel, New - pics added

Description

I purchased this new 1990 Case XX 265 blade as a ground, heat treated blank. I have fitted it with a bored and contoured beautiful desert ironwood handle; the wood handle is one piece. The guard is 416 stainless steel. The pommel was shaped from brass (C360) bar stock. It was drilled and tapped to accept threaded stainless rod, which was installed into a threaded hole in the back end of the ironwood handle (a partial thread can be seen in the last image showing the polished pommel and rod end). All pieces fit up flush and tight. They were assembled using high strength Devcon long setting epoxy. After curing, I shaped the handle, guard, and pommel and sharpened the blade. The handle, guard, and pommel were finished to fine sandpaper prior to applying multiple coats of Tru Oil. The knife feels outstanding in the hand and looks great. I am including a factory Case XX leather sheath typically used with the Case 365.

I gladly combine shipping on auctions won or items bought within three days of each other if paid for in a single invoice.  Wait to pay until combined invoice is sent, and request one if needed.  Additional shipping for each additional item depends on the added item, as follows: three additional dollars for each fixed blade added to the order, two dollars for each added pocket knife, one dollar for each dollar coin and half dollar coin, and fifty cents for each additional coin with face value less than fifty cents.
